Last Update:  I am completely overwhelmed by the response to the "Blog about Brett Kimberlin Day."  I don't have anyway to know for sure, but when I Googled either Patterico or Brett Kimberlin the number of hits that came up was staggering.

Glenn Beck interviewed Patrick Frey (Patterico) and Aaron Walker on his radio show.  Since I'm in the Pacific time zone his program airs at 3PM here so many of you heard it before I did.

If you haven't - here they are:

The first one is Patrick and the second one is Aaron

My previous post links to Patterico's Pontifications and his ordeal.  I consider it the must read of the day.

Radio Patriot has a list of participating  blogs  - and we thank him.  I'm sure he'll forgive me for swiping the list.

There's probably more by now.  If you want to be on the list, let me know...

Blogger Patterico Is Swatted -- July 1, 2011.mp4

Interviewing Robert Stacy McCain About Brett Kimberlin

Interviewing Robert Stacy McCain About Brett Kimberlin

nterviewing Robert Stacy McCain About Brett Kimberlin
Written By : John Hawkins
Robert Stacy McCain, who blogs at RWN on occasion, has become a story himself this week. After reporting on “Speedway Bomber” Brett Kimberlin, Stacy announced to the world that Kimberlin had been in touch with his wife’s employer and that he had moved his family out of their house as a result. Quite naturally, this caught people’s attention — and that was before this article from Patterico came out today credibly alleging that Kimberlin and his allies had engaged in harassment that included having a SWAT team called to his house. So, I got in touch with Stacy on Wednesday night, set up an impromptu interview, and what follows is the transcript of our roughly 30 minute long conversation, which was edited down for brevity’s sake.
Can you sum up what Kimberlin did to Aaron Worthing, in say 60 seconds or so, to give people an idea of what first drew your attention to Brett Kimberlin?
Aaron Worthing agreed to give some legal assistance to Seth Allen when Kimberlin sued Seth Allen for harassment. Worthing was in a court appearance on behalf of Allen in a Virginia court and Kimberlin was using his iPad to take a picture of Worthing, whose actual name is Aaron Walker, in contradiction of court rules. You can’t do photography in a court like that. So Worthing snatched the iPad out of Kimberlin’s hands and then Kimberlin claimed that Worthing had assaulted him. Worthing says that basically what Kimberlin was trying to do was to find grounds to frame him for an assault charge.
Subsequently, as a result of Kimberlin’s obsession with Aaron Worthing and his continual harassment and stalking of Aaron Worthing, Worthing lost his day job as did his wife because Kimberlin contacted his wife’s employer. When a convicted terrorist bomber contacts somebody’s employer, people get scared. This kind of intimidation is what Kimberlin is using.
How did you get involved in the Brett Kimberlin case?
Thursday morning I was making preparations to go cover the G8 Summit at Camp David, 15 miles from my house. The Occupy protestors were going to be there and it was a chance to get out and cover some news live on the street, in person, the way I like to do it. That morning I saw a friend of mine re-tweet Aaron Worthing about this in a way that made me realize that what he had must be something significant. So I clicked over to that and it was 28,000 words. I started reading through it and saw the name Neal Rauhauser. Neal Rauhauser is the Democratic Party consultant who has described himself as a hacker. So for him to be involved in Aaron Worthing’s case was significant as news. I had never heard the name Brett Kimberlin until Thursday morning.
My first post was about how Neal Rauhauser was connected to Brett Kimberlin, who is a convicted felon. Then after I posted that, people began sending me more information about who Brett Kimberlin is and what he’s been involved in and I began to dig. One of the people who was crucial to helping me figure out what was going on was Matthew Vadum, an investigative journalist who is perhaps the nation’s leading authority on ACORN. Matthew Vadum got me the information on the funding of Brett Kimberlin’s 501c3 Justice Through Music project and I published that and started looking for more.
Thursday night a sock puppet account for a site that is what I’ve started to refer to as “not Brett Kimberlin”…
Is it the Breitbart site?
Yeah, it’s Breitbart Unmasked.
I thought that was it.
Sock puppets started tweeting me and Patterico and Aaron Worthing were cc’d on the same messages that were coming to me. …So I got into a colloquy with this Breitbart Unmasked and asked if he was Brett Kimberlin. The sock puppet denied it. .. I’m a reporter, so I had to get that denial on the record. …I said to the sock puppet, “Well if you’re not Brett Kimberlin, you don’t mind if I say this. If you’re not Brett Kimberlin, you don’t mind if I say that.” I said, “You’re a convicted felon” and that enraged the sock puppet, which made me think that, of course, this sock puppet was lying and it’s Brett Kimberlin.
(Hawkins’ Note: One thing I found to be EXTREMELY interesting in looking back through these tweets is that I realized Nadia Naffe, who went to court and made some extremely dubious claims about James O’Keefe based on almost nothing, is connected to Ron Brynaert, who’s tied in with Brett Kimberlin. Her twitter account is also one of only 215 people following @BreitbartUnmask. Given the type of tactics that Kimberlin and his allies use, that really throws up some ENORMOUS red flags about the veracity of her allegations against O’Keefe.)
You wrote about the whole thing, you contacted someone you believe to be Kimberlin on Twitter. Then what happened next? What was the next thing?
Monday afternoon, my wife came in and informed me Kimberlin had been in contact with her employer. It was evident then and has since become more evident that Kimberlin knew where we lived. His contact with my wife’s employer resulted in a security alert as soon as they found out who this guy was and they recognized the implicit threat.
Was there anything threatening that he said to your wife’s employer or was there just…
I don’t know…
You don’t know?
I don’t know what he said to my wife’s employer. This is privileged information that was not shared with me because of their policies. All I know is that basically that my presence in Maryland was resulting in a perceived danger to others and furthermore, that if I was to continue reporting this story I couldn’t do it from Maryland.
Because why? You thought it would put the family in danger or her work?
Well, the story is a little bit complicated and can be told in depth once the truck is loaded up and moved to Beverly. We still have to finish moving out of our house. My wife has to finish out her work agreement. The situation is delicate.
You’re not going back to your house over this?
I’m in an undisclosed location out of Maryland and it has to do with two or three different things.
But they’re all related to Brett Kimberlin, right?
Exactly…Brett Kimberlin knows where I live; it’s an implicit threat. You can look at Brett Kimberlin’s record as a convicted terrorist. He conspired to kill the prosecuting attorney and at least one key witness in the case against him. That’s according to the Indianapolis Star. You can look it up. You know these are facts that are unrefuted. When someone like that indicates that they know where you live, the threat is implicit. I’m not going to be there anymore. I mean we’re gone. We’re history. We’re out of there.
Two quick questions. One, do you feel there is an actual threat on your lives?
I am not concerned about my life. I’ll put it to you that way.
Do you think there is a chance you could be sued if you stay there?
Yes, we know that Brett Kimberlin’s habit is to file nuisance lawsuits in an attempt to silence his critics. This is what he did with Seth Allen. He has this pattern of legal harassment and employment workplace harassment. Patterico AKA Patrick Frey has also had this sort of legal and workplace harassment against him. Obviously Aaron Worthing has had it. So I saw what was coming. Remember the five most important words in the English language are “Hit the freaking tip jar!”
Well Stacy, you’re kind of in transition now, but once you settle somewhere again, the guy will be able to sue you if he wants to, right? What’s the plan there?
This is just a hunch, okay, I’m not making any accusations, but my suspicion is that the end of this story is Brett Kimberlin goes back to prison.
You think so?
People with experience in non-profit work; accountants and people like that have looked at the form 990s for his two non-profits and they are extremely suspicious. These are not accusations I make. I’m telling you what people have told me. …Enabling a convicted felon to pursue a strategy of harassment and intimidation against people who report his criminal history is obviously not an activity that is a tax exempt purpose. …Brett Kimberlin has been called a top flight con artist and a world-class liar. He was convicted of perjury before he ever graduated high school. …That a person like this should be entrusted as the director of a 501c3 non-profit boggles the mind.
I agree.
Sources have told me that Capitol Hill staffers have been briefed about the background on the Kimberlin case. By the way, these briefings happened before I had ever heard of Brett Kimberlin. People have been looking at this for a long time and trying to figure out, you know, what’s going on here.
I studied psychology, John, and I think that any student of psychology would have to conclude that Brett Kimberlin is a classic sociopath. One of the things that a sociopath always does is to accuse others of doing what he has done. This is a narcissistic reflex reaction of scapegoating onto others his own problems and we have seen this in Brett Kimberlin’s actions. Among other things, he accused Mandy Nagy, Liberty Chick at Breitbart.com, of being part of a conspiracy to kill him — the convicted terror bomber accusing this girl of trying to kill him. It’s just crazy. He had hoped to avoid scrutiny and now he’s in a white hot spotlight. I think that when all the facts are known, the end of this story is Brett Kimberlin goes back to prison. That’s my belief and I’m entitled to my belief.
Thanks for you time, Stacy.

Lawfare: The Liberal Left's New Tool to Silence Conservative Critics

Lawfare is, according to Wikipedia, the illegitimate use of domestic or international law with the intention of damaging an opponent, winning a public relations victory, financially crippling an opponent, or tying up the opponent's time so that they cannot pursue other ventures such as running for public office.

The term "lawfare" was first brought to my attention by conservative blogger NiceDeb. She writes that lawfare is a "tactic used almost exclusively by the left and Islamic combatants in the war on terror."

Lawfare, the use of law as a weapon of war, is the liberal left's new tool to silence conservative critics.

Make no mistake, the lawsuit Georgia Democratic Party political director Rashad Richey filed against me, claiming that I slandered him when I told the truth, is a textbook example of lawfare. Rashad Richey and his Democrat pals, I believe, are using the law as a weapon to intimidate and terrorize.

Bryan Jacoutot, a law student who blogs at Legal Insurrection, says Rashad Richey's lawsuit can have a chilling effect.

"While we can’t know Richey’s actual motives," Jacoutot writes, "this lawsuit likely is to deter others from probing issues as to Richey’s background."

Lawfare, ladies and gentlemen. The use of law as a weapon of war to intimidate, terrorize, and silence dissent.

Conservative bloggers, such as fellow Georgian Erick Erickson, have taken note of lawfare as a new tool in the left's war on conservatism.

Brett Kimberlin, subject of the book Citizen K, is the Speedway Bomber.

According to the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, Brett Kimberlin was convicted of a series of bombings in Speedway, Indiana, and other drug related matters.

Kimberlin is also, now, decades later, a left of center activist, former Independent Music Awards Industry Judge, involved in organizations getting Tides Foundation and Heinz Family Foundation grants, and is back in the media for harassing and bullying anyone who mentions his past.

As individual bloggers and sites like Breitbart.com have begun shedding light on Brett Kimberlin, Kimberlin has resorted to suing them.

Lawfare, the new tool used by the left to silence conservative critics.

Bryan Jacoutot, the law student I highlighted earlier, says, "It is imperative that we ensure that bloggers are free to state their political opinions with vigor, and to do so free from fear of legal action, or in some cases, bodily harm."

And let the church say, "Amen."

Wait. What?
Oh shit! I thought she was on the pill! And hey, did someone not flush the toilet?
House
Speaking of bombshells, this is Christina Hendricks. She's to Speedway Bombers as garlic is to a vampire. The proclivities of Speedway Bombers, we're told, focus on the pre-pubescent. Disgusting weirdo creeps, these sicko Speedway Bombers!
House
Dr. House had to flee his house. He's pretty sure that scientifically he is not classified as female. But after that IP trace that @Anonybutt did, he's not so sure anymore. And he's got two television PHD's!
House
Randy Newman's getting sued for that "Short People" song. He knew the Speedway Bomber back in the day. For the love of God, don't let Stacy McCain have a guitar and sing it, please.
House
If you care at all about truth and justice, Aunt Bee, you'll cough up all the dirt you have on Weinergate - or even make something up to satisfy me! Or I'll release your real name on Twitter! Maybe even call 911, and have Barney SWAT you! Because that's what journalists do!
House
The Bomb, AKA "Little Boy." It's also being sued by Brett Kimberlin for defaming the @Anonybutt account because it had the audacity to use the words "midget-esque psycopath employed by Barbra Streisand."
Tons of people are being harassed by the Speedway Bomber these days. Lady Liberty. Aaron Walker. Patterico. Stacy McCain. It's the new "in" thing. Everyone's doing it.
So you're probably wondering, am I being harassed by the notorious criminal liar and perjurer Brett Kimberlin, the Speedway Bomber, too? Or even one of his cronies?
Yes, dear reader, you probably are. If you have at least one of these symptoms, you just might be a target of the Speedway Bomber, and you should probably clean the undercarriage of your car. No one wants to be embarrassed by dirty undies when the Speedway Bomber comes a-stalkin' at your home.
Make sure you study these carefully!
  1. You're reading textbooks on psychopathy, sociopathy, and narcissism. And: they're interesting.
  2. You can't watch "Funny Girl" anymore.
  3. You've double-checked that Brett Kimberlin, Neal Rauhauser, and Ron Brynaert fall under the legal heading of "public figures," and as such, are subject to public ridicule. You are legally allowed to laugh your ass off at their shenanigans. Release the hounds! Bwahaha!
  4. Various "Obama for America PAC" organizations start following you on Twitter. 'Cause, you know, it's so coinkidinky.
  5. Ancient Aliens on the History Channel starts to make sense.
  6. Screen capturing: you know the what, how, and why.
  7. Ron Brynaert asks you on Twitter about a tweet you made two years ago. You tweeted you had a "good cheeseburger." What did you mean by that?
  8. You come home to find urine in the toilet and your cat is pregnant.
  9. You are accused by a convicted bomber of intimidation and the irony escapes you at first.
  10. Wait. You have a cat?
  11. By God if you don't tell Ron Brynaert exactly what you meant about that "cheeseburger hitting the spot," he will release all the dirt he has on you! Because, you know, that's what journalists DO: threaten to expose all of your dirty little secrets, Aunt Bee!
  12. Is it spelled RICO or RICOH?
  13. You know that Velvet Revolution is not a metro-sexual fashion trend, but an organization that has given money to convicted terrorist Speedway Bomber Brett Kimberlin.
  14. Someone on an anonymous blog looks up your IP on arin and "scientifically" determines, beyond a doubt, that you are female, although your chest hair and external genitalia suggest otherwise. (If you are female, you may also find yourself magically growing external genitalia. You've been warned!)
  15. Your attorney's name and number is in your cell phone.
  16. You're blocking a lot of creepy people on Twitter like Ron Brynaert. A lot more than usual, anyway.
  17. You suspect that the baton of Breitbart.com has been handed over to Neville Chamberlain. #FreeDanaLoesch #PutDanaInCharge
  18. That guy you went to elementary school with thirty years ago? Who's now the local Sherrif? Yeah. He's now your best friend.
  19. A month ago you had no idea who Brett Kimberlin even was, much less looked like. Now? You're pretty sure you could put a beer on his head comfortably. What? Psychopaths can't be short?
  20. That high school friend you forgot the name of who now works at the FBI? Also now your best friend. It's been too goddamn long since we talked, dude! How are the kids? Wait. You don't have any? Ha ha! I knew that. Let me buy you a beer tonight, buddy!
  21. You've heard at least six stupid theories about who Dan Wolfe was, and why you're a dumbass for not buying any of them.
  22. You feel compelled to write extraordinarily long blogs. With links. And PDF files containing police reports and court documents about Brett Kimberlin, the convicted Speedway Bomber who has been exonerated in his own little brain.
  23. You get insulted by an anonymous tweep with thirty followers who is dead-damned certain that Darrah Ford has been Neal Rauhauser, Dan Wolfe, Tommy Christopher, and a member of the CIA all along. Therefore, Anthony Weiner's resignation should be annulled and Bob Turner, who took his place, should be tossed out on his ass. Because: people on porn forums said things! And stuff!
  24. Your attorney lets you know that you can text him, too.
  25. You make damned sure your maid isn't on Twitter. You. Can. Not. Take. That. Risk.
  26. Your attorney clarifies that you can't text him after midnight unless it's a real emergency. Like swatting. Or the Apocalypse.
  27. Subpoena!
  28. You're not living at your house anymore, and it ain't 'cause you were foreclosed on!
Top sign that you might be the Speedway Bomber or one of his minions:
  1. You are terrified every moment of your miserable existence that people will laugh at your grandiose megalomania.
  2. You piss in a jar under your computer so you can keep up with all the blogs about you today.
  3. You're reading this page for "clues." Fucking moron.
Top reason some of you people in the media are still not covering the story of convicted terrorist bomber and free-speech hater Brett Kimberlin:
  1. You haven't yet realized that when Kimerblin and his cronies are done with us, they're coming after you, and we won't be here to help you.

Patterico gives us a huge post today on his swatting, which could have gotten him killed.
Finally!
It's detailed and has all sorts of info about Brett Kimberlin and his cronies, including his conclusions regarding Ron Brynaert, who, it turns out, works with, or has worked with, Brett Kimberlin, the convicted terrorist criminal perjuring lying felon also known as the Speedway Bomber, funded by Barbra Streisand.
I must admit that at first I couldn't believe Ron Brynaert had anything to do with swatting Mike Stack or Patterico. Yeah, sure, Ron comes across as crazy, but this? It seemed a huge stretch for me.
But then, I didn't have access to Patterico's swat call, or access to a forensic voice analyst.
New evidence, my dear Watson, creates new conclusions.
Ron Brynaert has been a guest blogger at The Brad Blog, run by Brad Friedman, a business partner of Brett Kimberlin's. Brynaert has described himself as a friend of Friedman's. Brynaert was for years the editor of Raw Story, a publication that has teamed up with the Brad Blog to put out Brad Friedman's radio show...
In 2008, during Brynaert's tenure as editor of Raw Story, Kimberlin was introduced as the "moving force behind Raw Story." (Hat tip to Seth Allen.) Kimberlin did not object to that characterization.
And...
I pushed and pushed for law enforcement to do a forensic comparison of Brynaert's voice to that of the swatter. I found an interview of Brynaert online, so there was a ready sample for comparison. But they wouldn't do it. (I was constantly frustrated by the failure of law enforcement to follow up on what seemed like obvious leads. More about that at a future date.)
So I decided to hire my own expert.
Kent Gibson is a forensic voice identification expert. He has done work for the FBI and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, as well as the Los Angeles County Public Defender. He is court-qualified in Los Angeles Superior Court. He is a Yale and Stanford graduate who has had extensive experience in audio work. He is the expert hired by the mother of Mel Gibson's children to authenticate angry recordings that Mel Gibson left on her answering machine.
I first approached Kent in August 2011, but at the time I was still trying to convince law enforcement to do the comparison themselves. By January 2012 I had given up on law enforcement. I sent Kent my swatting call; the swatting call from New Jersey; a call to BlogTalkRadio that sounded like the swatter; and the Ron Brynaert interview.
The following quote is from Kent Gibson's declaration, sent to me on February 25, 2012:
In this case the following files were presented for evaluation: Tag names for these four recordings are shown in BOLD. The[y] represent calls from two Swat Hoax cases, one involving Patrick Frey and one involving Mike Stack [the man from New Jersey -- ed.].
G-8025959 FREY SWAT - Call made to 911 claiming a shooting at Mr. Frey's residence on 7/1/2011 at 12:16 AM. Caller impersonates Patrick Frey.
Stack Call - STACK SWAT - Call made to police dispatch in Readington, New Jersey. 6/23/2011 Caller impersonates Mike Stack.
Ron Brynaert Interview.mp3 - BRYNAERT KNOWN - an internet radio interview. This caller is suspected of being the Swat caller re: Frey.
Lee Call-in Radio Show - LEE KNOWN (Lee is interviewer's name, not caller.) This caller is suspected of being the Swat caller re: Stack.
CONCLUSION: Considering all of the evidence presented, it is my expert forensic examiner's opinion that it is probable that all voice samples come from the same person.
In other words, it is the opinion of an expert forensic examiner that Ron Brynaert's voice is probably the voice of the man on my swatting call. A call that could have gotten me killed.
Now, I'm worried for Mike Stack (who was also swatted), because Brietbart.com is currently being run by a nutless wonder who has refused to cover this story. Stack has felt abandoned to fend for himself -- and for some reason, now thinks Ron Brynaert is on his side.
I know it's difficult for people in the media to understand how the subject of a story can feel abandoned. "Geez! We're a news-media-expose place! We're not friends!"
No, sorry. When regular people in flyover country are suddenly thrust into the spotlight because of stuff you do and write, and suddenly have their lives threatened because of your work, you and your news-media-outlet have a moral obligation to them to at least cover the story.
That means you cover the story if their lives have been threatened. "Swatting" is news-worthy even in an ivory tower, and there's no excuse for being quiet on it. Unless you're a nutless coward.
You hear me, Joel Pollack?

Update 1: What about Ron's claims in his rather bizarre email to Dave Weigel that he is now persona-non-grata in the Brett Kimberlin crony camp? This could be true. Some theorize that he's acting as a double agent and is just pretending to be on the outs, others that he was indeed cast out and did the swatting on his own to stir things up on his own. I guess time will tell.

just a conservative girl: Everybody Blog about Brett Kimberlin Day

just a conservative girl: Everybody Blog about Brett Kimberlin Day

There really are no adequate words to describe the ruthlessness of Brett Kimberlin.  His story is all over the conservative blogosphere.  (With some very notable exceptions; Breitbart.  Andrew would be so ashamed).

Another really important aspect of this story is the mainstream media silence on this story.  Mr. Kimberlin doesn't really care all that much what your political persuasion is if you dare tell the truth about him.  He has harassed people on the moderate left who also have dared expose him for what he really is.  A convicted felon, suspected murderer, liar, and just all around scum.

Don't take anyone's word for it.  Do the research yourself on this man.  Then ask yourself why the likes of Barbara Streisand and Teresa Heinz-Kerry are giving this man money.  It becomes obvious that they care none for the good of the country, but about an agenda that will limit free speech in this country.  One of the bedrocks of our great nation.

I personally have tweeted main stream media reporters to ask them why they are not covering this story.  To date, I have yet to get any response from any of them.  I am not surprised for the most part, but I did have hope that at least Jake Tapper would have the fortitude to get this story out there.  I believe him to be one of the few good reporters out there in the mainstream media.  He is still willing to speak truth to power and ask some of the uncomfortable questions that most in the media will not.

You don't have to like Stacy McCain's viewpoints to realize that this is dangerous precedent to set.  A man with a wife and children was forced from his home in fear of their safety.  His wife's place of employment was contacted.  We have had other bloggers who have swat teams showing up at their homes.  We have bloggers who have lost their jobs due to this.  The employers were concerned for the safety of their other employees.  Which is understandable, but think about the economic impact this has on a family.

Here is a site that has been set up to help financially with the people who have lost their jobs and their home due to this man.

This can not be allowed to stand.  We, as Americans, have the right to get our opinions out there without fear of our lives and livelihood.  Ignore this at your own peril.  Sooner or later they will come for you.

I know that I have quite a few left leaning readers.  I ask you, is this OK?  Disagree with Stacy.  Heck, I know Stacy and I don't always agree with him.  But, he speaks his truth.  He is a seasoned reporter.  He knows the lines that cannot be crossed.  What he did was report the facts.  Brett Kimberlin is a dangerous and well-funded man.  Follow the money.  Then ask yourselves if you still want to support a leftist agenda that targets private citizens.  Heaven help us all if you do.

Giving Scumbag All The Attention He Deserves

Brett Kimberlin with his Leftie Enablers are stalking, threatening, and bullying a man for truthfully discussing his actions and past felonies. So today, all bloggers are called to blog about him in an effort to show Mr. Jackass how outnumbered he is. Below are two posts who are both better informed and better bloggers in general than me:

Follow the money, The funding of Kimberlin’s projects — tens of thousands of dollars from the George Soros-connected Tides Foundation, as well as foundations associated with Barbra Streisand and Sen. John Kerry’s wife — thus supported all of Kimberlin’s activities, including his effort to have O’Keefe and Giles prosecuted for their ACORN takedown. Kimberlin’s name has re-surfaced because one blogger claims to have been driven from his home due to Kimberlin’s harassment. Why the harassment? Various bloggers and others have pointed out that Kimberlin runs a variety of left-wing organizations getting money from the deep pockets of the left. As the web of connections has increased, so has the harassment of conservative bloggers.

There is a lot out there today about Brett Kimberlin, who either himself or through supporters has been going after various conservative bloggers who have called attention to his past.
You already know about Aaron Walker.
A must read post, and I mean MUST READ, is by Patrick Frey a/k/a Patterico, and the hell he and his family have had to go through including “swatting,” where a false report of a murder was made to his home address in the hope the police SWAT team would arrive with guns drawn.  That’s not the half of it, there have been false Bar ethics complaints, lawsuits, complaints to his employer, and other assorted harrassments directed at Frey and his wife.
The whole story is just unbelievable.  Here’s Frey’s conclusion:
What you have just read is a summary. I have lived this daily — literally daily — for almost a year. There are pieces of evidence I didn’t have room to include. There is so much evidence of harassment it would take you weeks to read about it all.
What’s more, I know that this post is going to result in more harassment. I will almost certainly be sued, despite my careful efforts to stick to the facts. There will likely be more complaints to my workplace.
And I have a feeling they’ll find creative new ways to try to rip my life apart.
As an aside, I have listened to Brett Kimberlin in court audio, saying he meets with Congressmen on a regular basis. I want to make sure these Congressmen know what he’s doing.
I have appreciated the support I have felt in recent days, with people like Michelle Malkin, Instapundit, Stacy McCain, Ace, and many others stepping up and being willing to take on this topic.
It is my hope that the support of the blogosphere will not melt away after today. Because the harassment will almost certainly live on.
It’s an important battle to take on. And I want to stress that this should not be a partisan issue. I believe Brett Kimberlin uses lefty politics as a tool — but he doesn’t believe any of it in his heart. He is looking for a buck. I have been heartened to see left-leaning people of all stripes stand up to this guy in the past, from Mark Singer, the author of Citizen K; to Ken Ashford, who refused to give up Aaron Walker’s identity; to the left-leaning lawyer who represented Aaron pro bono.
It is my hope that left-leaning blogs will recognize that this is not a partisan issue. It is a free speech issue.
Remember how I said one of my commenters was outed? And this crew started talking about his parents? And his divorce records? For being a commenter of mine?
What happened to me could literally happen to anyone. It could happen to you.
If you take nothing else from this post, remember that. It could happen to you.
For more on Robert Stacy McCain’s predicament, check out not only his blog, but also the interview he gave John Hawkins:
Monday afternoon, my wife came in and informed me Kimberlin had been in contact with her employer. It was evident then and has since become more evident that Kimberlin knew where we lived. His contact with my wife’s employer resulted in a security alert as soon as they found out who this guy was and they recognized the implicit threat.
There are many more links at Instapundit, Michelle Malkin and Lonely Conservative.
The National Bloggers Club has set up a donation site, but consider hitting the tip jars for Patterico and Robert Stacy McCain (couldn’t find one for Walker directly).  I just did.

I stand with Stacy McCain, wherever he is

I blog for fun (mostly). Yes I'm political, and yes I'm provocative, but absent the occasional nutjob emailer I guess I'm not important enough to get the whackos really fired up. Which is fine by me.
Other bloggers aren't so lucky. Robert Stacy McCain was recently forced to flee his home, and go into hiding with his wife and children. Why? Because a left-wing "activist" named Brett Kimberlin didn't like Stacy digging into his past.
Stacy's a tenacious old cuss though, and he's taking the fight to the enemy, albeit from an "undisclosed location." Interestingly he's used the old-school spycraft technique of a "barium meal" to apparently out one of Kimberlin's online personas.
Both Patrick Frey and Aaron Worthing had expressed suspicion that Kimberlin is "Breitbart Unmasked," a site no honest person should ever link, but which has proven to be a sturdy rope with which Kimberlin has now hanged himself. Why? Because, you see, there were some elements in my small slice of this story that I have never disclosed online — key facts that only lying felon Brett Kimberlin could have known — which appeared in the false "Breitbart Unmasked" attack on me.
Given that "Breitbart Unmasked" has in recent months been used to publish smear after smear against various of Kimberlin's enemies, this attack on me therefore provides crucial evidence indicating that, while Kimberlin claimed these law-abiding citizens were "harassing" or "stalking" him, quite the reverse is true.
As Glenn Reynolds put it, trying to out-crazy Stacy McCain is not going to end well. If anything it's caused many, many bloggers to look into just who Brett Kimberlin is. And what we've found is downright scary.
Kimberlin has engaged in a prolonged systematic smear campaign against a coterie of right-wing bloggers.
Read Patterico's bone-chilling story. I'll wait.
Then read Aaron Worthing's tale of Kimberlin's relentless harassment and Liberty Chick's saga too.
In response the blogosphere has proclaimed today Everybody Blog About Brett Kimberlin Day. There is strength in numbers. There is honor in standing up for what is right and just.
[I]f we allow our friends to be picked off one by one, we will all be picked off. It is imperative that we stand together, and face this together as a united front.
Brett Kimberlin has awakened a sleeping giant.
Hang in there Stacy. The cavalry is here.

FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION
Today there is a massive Memeorandum aggregation about convicted terrorist Brett Kimberlin, including one on an article by my filmmaker buddy Ladd Ehlinger Jr.:
An excellent question: Why would Barbra Streisand’s “philanthropic” foundation donate money to a 501(c)3 whose director is a violent felon notorious for his dishonesty (a “top-flight con man“) to say nothing of the other heinous crimes Kimberlin has committed? Leaving aside entirely the “lawfare” harassment strategy Kimberlin has used against Patrick Frey, Seth Allen and Aaron Worthing, doesn’t that situation — hiring an infamous liar and admitted tax cheat to run a tax-exempt non-profit — strike most people as incredibly reckless?
Kimberlin has continued dishonestly to deny his responsibility for the weeklong 1978 Indiana terror-bombing spree for which he was convicted in 1981 and sentenced to 50 years in federal prison. In fact, I’m told, Kimberlin has falsely claimed that he was “secretly exonerated” for those crimes, so that his life continues to be one enormous lie.
And what kind of person would donate money to pay the salary of a vicious creep like that, especially when it is so well-known that Kimberlin has spent the past year engaged in a series of efforts to intimidate those who try to expose the truth about him?
The fact that I was compelled, by concern for the safety of others, to leave my Maryland home in order to be able to continue reporting this story ought to be sufficient evidence of Kimberlin’s intrinsic maliciousness. But of all the many words written about this bizarre episode in recent days, none captured the essence of the problem so succinctly as a five-word sentence Scott Jacobs posted in the comments of another blog, describing Kimberlin: “He has no f–king soul.”
UPDATE: Lisa Graas writes:
I doubt Streisand knows how her money is being used, but then again, this is what you get when you fund groups that employ radicals.
Streisand is stuck in a nostalgic time-warp of “radical chic” and is thus perhaps actively in favor of giving money to left-wing terrorists.
UPDATE II: Michelle Malkin brought her awesome influence to bear today, as did Ed Morrissey at Hot Air, and the Memeorandum aggregation includes scores of bloggers.
Normally, I use the Shoe Leather Fund to pay travel expenses while I’m out on the campaign trail. This sudden and unexpected journey to an Undisclosed Location, however, has helped raise more money than any other road-trip I’ve ever taken, and I am extremely grateful to everyone who has contributed, as this will help pay to relocate my family.
They say if you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans.
Last Thursday morning, I was planning to go cover the G8 Summit at Camp David. Instead, I saw Aaron Worthing’s story, immediately recognized it as newsworthy and . . . well, God’s got a great sense of humor, doesn’t he?
Update (Smitty): Thank you again, Instapundit!

Yes, the man who is still a person of interest in the murder of a grandmother because of his "unnatural" interest in her underage granddaughter... has a daughter, shown here being used as a human shield in his harassment of Karl Rove, as part of one of his many bogus cons to get prominent Republicans and conservatives arrested and tried.
